There are many representative and nicely decorated rooms in the Clementinum. One of them is the unique Mirror chaple. The chaple dedicated to the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary was built in 1724 by F. M. Kaňka. Inside the marble panneling together with gilded stuccos, ceiling frescoes and installation of mirrors on the ceiling makes an exquisite interior. Gilded stuccos were made by B. Spinetti. The ceiling fresco in five parts, made by Jan Hiebel , was inspired by the Marian prayer Ave Maria (Hail Mary). Also the four oil paintings by Václav Vavřinec Rainer correspond to the consecration of the chapel, to the Annunciation of Our Lady. Nowadays the Mirror chaple served as a place for cultural events such as concerts and exhibitions.
